Connie Marie Ragle, age 67 of Metamora

Connie Marie Ragle (Fuchs), 67, of Metamora, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026. She was a partner, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family and community left a lasting impression on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

Connie was born on August 22, 1959, the daughter of Paul and Eva Fuchs. She grew up in Franklin County and was a proud graduate of Laurel High School. Throughout her life, Connie demonstrated a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others. She dedicated 17 years to working at Visteon in Connersville, Indiana, and spent seven years driving a school bus for children with special needs. Connie also helped and operated Grannies Cookie Jars for 25 years, a business that reflected her creativity, dedication, and spirit.

Connie was deeply involved in the Metamora community, a place she proudly called home and devoted so much of her life to supporting. She was actively involved with Historic Metamora, the Lions Club, Merchants of Metamora, and I Love Metamora. Whether she was supporting local businesses, participating in community activities, or lending a helping hand wherever one was needed, Connie could always be counted on to step forward. She believed in the importance of bringing people together and worked tirelessly to make her community a better place for everyone. Her generosity extended far beyond her own family, touching the lives of countless neighbors, friends, and visitors throughout the years.

In 2025, Connie was honored with the Franklin County Impact Award, recognizing her extraordinary service and contributions to Franklin County, Indiana. This special recognition celebrates individuals who go above and beyond to strengthen local businesses, support others, and improve their community. Few honors could have described Connie’s life more perfectly. She was someone who gave freely of her time, energy, and talents, never seeking recognition or expecting anything in return. Helping others was simply who she was, and the difference she made throughout Franklin County will continue to be felt for years to come.

Outside of her dedication to the community, Connie was an avid bowler who also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with children. She had a special way of making those around her feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Her kind and giving nature was evident in everything she did, whether through a thoughtful gesture, a helping hand, or simply taking the time to be there for someone who needed her.

Above all, Connie treasured her family and the relationships she built throughout her life. She was a loving and devoted presence in the lives of those closest to her, always willing to offer her support, encouragement, and unconditional kindness. Her family, friends, and community were at the heart of everything she did. Connie’s selflessness, compassion, and extraordinary willingness to help others made her a truly special person whose memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Those surviving who will carry Connie’s legacy forward include her partner, Arthur J. Hamilton of Metamora; three siblings, Janie Reynolds (Fuchs) of Metamora, John (Melissa) Fuchs of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Bill (Tammy) Fuchs of Rushville, Indiana; along with many nieces and nephews who will forever treasure the love and memories they shared with her.

In addition to her parents, Paul and Eva Fuchs, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Fuchs, and her niece, Tina Wanner (Fuchs).
