Thursday on WRBI, Connersville’s varsity boys improved their first-place standing to 5-0 in the EIAC with a 51-25 win at East Central. The Trojans slipped to 2-2.
The Fayette County boys led 13-8. after the first quarter, 19-8 at the half and 38-17 at the end of three.
The Spartans Gage Brown put up a game-high 16 points, Tobey Billups tallied 10 and Lucas Barron booked seven.
EC got eight points from Ryan Selhorst and seven from Jadyn Dennis.
Connersville dominated the boards by a county of 27-12 including 10-4 on the offensive end. The Spartans also had a much better shooting night sinking 18-of-30 (60%) compared to East Central’s 8-of-31 (26%).
CHS also won the JV game 52-43.
