Colson Dale Barrett, 75, of Aurora, Indiana passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021. He was born on April 22, 1946 in Milan, Indiana, son of Brice (Mule) Barrett and Polly (Johnson) Barrett. He was a graduate of Moores Hill High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Geri Lane on August 5th, 1966. He served his country as a member of the Army. He was very proud of his service and his country. He worked for Chevron and Tri-Hydro for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Legion and the VFW. He loved to fish and spend time with his grandbabies. His happiest times were when the whole family was together and to tell the grandbabies to “go lay down somewhere” when they got too rowdy. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Geri (Lane) Barrett, daughters Missy (Steve) Knost, Cari (Chad) Kraemer, Krystal (Billy Cull) Barrett, son Jason (Ashley) Barrett all of Aurora, IN, sister Brenda (Tom) Wetzler of Osgood, IN, brothers Bob Barrett of Pensacola, FL and Dan Barrett of Crawfordsville, IN. He had 5 granddaughters, Lindsey (Brent) Sirosky, Nikki (Jimmy) Kemper, Holly Kraemer, Sylvea Kraemer and Lilly Barrett. He had 2 grandsons Colson Barrett, Kasen Cull and 2 great grandsons Brice and Lucas Sirosky all of Aurora. He had countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brice and Polly (Johnson) Barrett.
