Collier Holtegel, 21

Collier Chase Holtegel, 21, of Dillsboro, IN, passed away at 6:25 AM, Saturday, July 2nd, 2016 in Moores Hill, IN. Collier was born in Ft. Thomas, KY on December 2, 1994, a son of Kimberly Keith, of Dillsboro, IN and Brad Holtegel, of Dillsboro, IN. Collier attended Vincennes University and was a 2013 graduate of South Dearborn High School where he excelled at basketball and also ran track and played golf. He worked as a foreman at SCSI-NSI Voice & Data Inc. in Lawrenceburg, IN. Collier was a member of the Dillsboro United Methodist Church. He enjoyed doing many things, such as hunting, fishing, playing pool and corn hole, going to horse races, riding his RZR and quad and driving his truck. As long as he was doing something outside, he was happy. Being with his family and friends was the most important thing to him. He was loved by all that knew him.

Collier is survived by his mother Kimberly Keith of Dillsboro, IN; by his father Brad Holtegel of Dillsboro, IN; by his girlfriend of six years, Ariel Biggs of Aurora, IN; by a sister, Caden Holtegel, of Dillsboro, IN; by a brother, Cody Holtegel, of Dillsboro, IN; by his grandmother Ruth Ann Keith, of Dillsboro, IN; by aunts, Kelly Keith of Rising Sun, IN, Becky Heller (Mike) of Aurora, IN, Bonnie Krettler (Nick) of Fountaintown, IN and Brenda Kellenberger of Urbana, OH; by cousins, Brenden Liggett, Kreigh Liggett, Ryan Heller, Josh Walston, Mandy Church, Zac Kellenberger and Sara Mugavero; also by Ty & Carmela Biggs of Aurora, IN and Zane Biggs. Collier was preceded in death by his grandparents Norman & Ruth Holtegel and by his grandfather Larry Keith.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday July 8th at the Dillsboro United Methodist Church with Pastors Mona Safely and Ted Hamrick officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening 4-8 PM at the Dillsboro United Methodist Church. Burial will be at New Liberty Cemetery in East Enterprise, IN. Markland Funeral Home of Rising Sun, IN serving the family. A scholarship is being established in Collier’s name.
