Cody Patrick Oliger, 26

Cody Patrick Oliger passed away unexpectedly in Arlington, Indiana on April 30, 2021. He was born January 13, 1995 in Greensburg, two minutes before his identical twin brother. He was the son of Peter Patrick and Lora Lee (Colson) Oliger.

Cody loved the outdoors and could always be found there. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and dirt bikes and also his prized Harley. He spent time with his farm animals, especially his horse General. He greatly loved his dog Daisy. He was a 2013 North Decatur Graduate and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Greensburg. Cody was a 10-year 4-H member and was in Junior Leaders. He was a 10-year rabbit member, having won with his brother the Bud Martin Award twice. He was also a 10-year poultry member. Cody’s goal in life was to work for the Decatur County Highway Department. He worked hard and was able to achieve that goal. Cody worked at Stone Bridge Trucking and the State of Indiana as a truck driver. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend.

Survivors include: his Parents; Identical twin, Casy Lee Oliger (Wife, Courtney); Brother, Brady Erik Oliger (Clarissa Simmermeyer); Half Brother, PJ Oliger; Nieces, Savanna Haley, Maslynn Lee Oliger; Nephew, Jayden Smith; Grandmother, Loretta Colson; Aunts, Uncles, many Cousins and many special friends. Cody was preceded in death by: Grandpa, John L. Colson; Aunt, Julie Colson; and Grandparents, Richard and Marie Oliger.

A visitation for family and friends will be at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be private and will be broadcast on the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home Facebook Page at 11:00 am Thursday, May 6, 2021. Father John Meyer will be officiating.
