(Dover, IN) – INDOT is scheduled to close part of State Road 1 in Dover on or after Monday, June 1, to complete a pipe replacement project.
The closure will take place just north of Wolf Creek Road.
State Road 1 is expected to reopen in the area in early July, weather permitting.
During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows U.S. 50 to I-275 to I-74 back to State Road 1.
INDOT says construction signage will be placed in the area prior to the start of the closure.
This project is part of a contract awarded to 5 Star Company, Inc. in August 2025.
Drivers are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
