Batesville, In. — Recently students at St. Louis School learned about the Civil War from enactor “Billy Yank” (Kevin Stonerock), a Civil War Soldier. He was home on leave and stopped in to share some of his experiences with the students. Yank told them about his life on the battlefield. They had the opportunity to learn about his weapon, his uniform, and the food. He even treated them to a song. It was a great way to learn about life as a soldier during the Civil War.
