(Batesville, IN) – Do you have a beautiful tree that needs a special assignment?
The City of Batesville has opened the search for this year’s official Christmas tree.
The selected tree will be transported to Downtown Batesville and decorated for the upcoming holiday season.
Mayor John Irrgang will officially light the tree during the annual Community Tree Lighting celebration on Friday, December 6.
Trees should be at least 25 feet tall and will be evaluated during a site selection.
If chosen, the city will assume responsibility for removing the tree and it will be turned into mulch following the holiday.
