City, construction company release Batesville road work for this week

BATESVILLE, IN — Mitchell Avenue reopened on Friday afternoon following the completion of the stormwater drainage improvement project. Rohe Construction will do some touch-up work on the side of the road from Monday, October 11 until Friday, October 15, which means drivers should be on the lookout for crew members.

Mulberry Street from Columbus Avenue to Pearl Street will be under construction for concrete improvements starting Monday (October 11). Work includes improved sidewalk, curb, and ADA ramps. Work will be performed off the road and will allow traffic to pass through. Pedestrians and motorists should use caution in the area.

Crews will widen Coonhunters Road on Monday (October 11th),  weather permitting. The road will be closed just north of Pohlman Street for one day during construction.

The intersection of Catherine and Mulberry streets will be closed Thursday (October 14) for approximately two weeks. Detours will be set up. Motorists are urged to follow posted detour signs.

Milling and paving will begin for the streets that have been under construction following the completion of the Community Crossing grant project.

All work is weather-dependent.
