CINCINNATI – Fans already looking forward to next baseball season are getting their first glimpse as the 2015 Reds schedule is being released.
The team will continue the tradition of starting the season at home when they face the Pittsburgh Pirates on April 6 at Great American Ball Park.
Reds will then face the St. Louis Cardinals at home followed by the first road trip of the season when they visit the Chicago Cubs, Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers.
An interesting series to point out is from June 29-July 1 when the Minnesota Twins visit Cincinnati.
Greensburg graduate Alex Meyer is currently a top-rated prospect in the Twins organization and could be in the big leagues at some point during the 2015 season.
Some other notable visitors to the Queen City next year include the San Francisco Giants (May 14-17); Washington Nationals (May 29-31); Detroit Tigers (June 17-18); Los Angeles Dodgers (August 25-27); and New York Mets (September 24-27).
The Reds will end the regular season on the road at Pittsburgh on October 4.
All eyes will be on Cincinnati during the week of July 15 as the MLB All-Star Game will be held at Great American Ball Park. The mid-summer classic features concerts and events such as a celebrity softball game and Home Run Derby.
