DECATUR/RIPLEY COUNTIES, IN — A high-speed chase that began with a traffic stop in Decatur County Tuesday night ended with heavy police activity along Merkel Road in Morris.
Police pulled over a vehicle in the Greensburg area but the driver took off, leading to the pursuit, which ended when the driver was stopped near the westbound I-74 rest area and fled on foot.
A number of police units were involved in the manhunt, and a witness told WRBI that a drone was used in the search.
However, no other information about the result of the pursuit had been released by authorities as of Thursday morning.
