Chargers Cross Country Competes in JCD Invitational

Both the boys and girls cross country team of North Decatur ran in the JCD Invitational this weekend. Both race results are below.

Girls – Leading the charge for North and earning 14th place out of 62 runners was Dorothy Robbins in a time of 24:39.  Junior Ava Lecher ran her best time of the season finishing in 25:40 followed by Norah Amerberger in 26:46, Sophomore Emerson Gunn with her best time of the season and missing her PR by 1 second finished in 27:40, Brookly White 27:48, Olivia Reisman 28:22 and Jessie Biltz 28:32 rounded out the top 7 scores for North.  Also competing and running her fastest time of the season was Lauren Miller 28:59 and she was followed by Jewel Verseman in 29:22 and Cecilia Barber in 35:52.

Boys – The boys battled their way to a 6th place finish. Leading the way for North was Junior Eli Weisenbach in a great time of 18:50 good enough for a 15th place finish out of 83 runners! Junior Jackson White continues his steady and consistent running for North finishing in a time of 20:36 followed closely by Harper Gunn in 20:40.  Jayden Lawrence and Cletus Rennekamp crossed the line with identical times of 22:11 and Sam Cathey ran a solid 22:36 for the Chargers.  Junior Teagan Striecker fought hard throughout the 5K finishing in 24:11 as did freshman Clayton Ruf who once again ran a PR as he eclipsed the 25 minute mark for the first time in his young career with a time of 24:56.  Logan Summey 25:27 and Jake Demitt 30:40 also had great efforts on the day.
