The North Decatur 7th grade boys took on Trinity Lutheran on Saturday, August 17, where they tied 0-0. The full game recap and stats are below.
• Rushing Leader: Gorrell had a solid performance, carrying the ball 3 times for 14 yards, although the offensive line faced challenges against the Cougar defense.
• Receiving Leader: Rohls was North Decatur’s standout receiver, catching 2 passes for 24 yards, proving to be a reliable target when opportunities arose.
• Tackling Leader: O’dell anchored the Chargers’ defense with 3.5 tackles, showcasing determination in keeping the Cougars from gaining any advantage.
Despite a 0-0 tie, the game revealed the potential of the North Decatur Chargers offense and the strength of their defense. While they could not secure a victory, the effort displayed by the players served as a solid foundation for the remainder of the season.
