The ND Charger JH Boys put up a great fight Monday afternoon at their first track meet of the season placing second at Rushville.
Brad Krieger finished 2nd place in the long jump with a distance of 14′ 1 3/4″. Cooper Parmer was narrowly edged out of a win to finish 2nd place in the 200m dash with a time of 27.38 seconds. Eli Weisenbach ran 1’11” in the 400m dash to take third place. Tyler Stephen threw the shot 20’7″ to place third.
The 4x100m relay team consisting of Cooper Parmer, Marshall Snell, Kaysar Bowles, and Brad Krieger placed first with a blistering 53.1second race. Eli Weisenbach and Adam Wade placed first and second in the 110m hurdles with times of 22″ and 23″. Cooper Parmer managed a 69′ 11″ discus throw to place 3rd.

The North Decatur Junior High girls team did an outstanding job at their first meet against Benjamin Rush Middle School. They took first place with 57 points and Benjamin Rush Middle School having 43 points. Some highlights from the meet are:
All relay teams took first place in their events. The 3200-meter relay team had a time of 13:29. The 1600 meter relay team had a time of 5:07. The 400-meter relay team had a time of 1:02. Madi Allen placed first in the high jump with a height of 4’6”, first place in the long jump with a length of 12’7”, first place in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:20. Madi was also part of our 1600 meter relay team. Sydney Rohls placed first in the discus with a length of 62’1” and second place in the high jump with a height of 4 ‘. Sydney was also part of our 3200-meter relay team and our 1600 meter relay team. Sarah Moeller place first in the hurdles with a time of 20.42 and placed third for the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:52. Sarah was also part of our 1600 meter relay team. Hannah Gorrell placed first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.13. Hannah was also part of our 400-meter relay team. Zoey Hersley placed second in the 400 meters run with a time of 1:24. Zoey was also part of our 400-meter relay team. Kara Lowe placed third in the 400 meters run with a time of 1:29. Kara was also part of our 400-meter relay team. Clare Kinker placed second in the 800 meters run with a time of 2:28. Clare was also part of our 1600 meter relay team.
