(Indianapolis, IN) – Former Indiana Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers has filed paperwork to run as a Republican for Governor next year.

Chambers recently concluded his two-year term as Secretary of Commerce and joins a crowded GOP field that includes Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, U.S. Sen. Mike Braun, former Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill, and Ft. Wayne businessman Eric Doden, who is also a former head of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.

The Republican nominee will advance to the November 5, 2024 General Election.

Former state Schools Superintendent Jennifer McCormick is the lone declared Democratic candidate.

Whoever wins the statewide nod will succeed current two-term Gov. Eric Holcomb, who cannot run again due to term limits.
