Franklin County recorded a come from behind win 5-3 on Thursday night to improve their record to 8-1 (7-0 EIAC).
South Dearborn plated 3 runs in the top half of the third to take a 3-0 lead, as the Wildcats were unable to put any offense together, despite a couple innings of getting guys in scoring position. In the bottom of the 6th, with bases loaded, Augustus Runyon doubled to left field, scoring all 3 base runners, tying the game. Runyon advanced to 3rd on the throw home. Two pitches later, Matthew Billman executed a squeeze play to score Runyon from third. Ben Krider would later score in the inning to add to the lead that would result in 5-3 win. Matthew Billman got the win on the mound, pitching 4 scoreless innings in relief.
FC travels to South Dearborn on Friday night as part of a rescheduled game.
