(Lawrenceburg, IN) – A suspect has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery Saturday night at Hollywood Casino and Hotel in Lawrenceburg.
39-year-old Daniel Adam Birdseye was arrested by Indiana Gaming Commission agents shortly after the incident, which took place around 7:30 p.m.
No shots were fired, but at least one person was reportedly injured.
Multiple agencies responded and set up a perimeter around the casino.
A K-9, an Indiana State Police helicopter and a drone from a Northern Kentucky agency were used in the search for Birdseye, who fled into the nearby river bottoms area and was captured there.
The Indiana Gaming Commission is leading the ongoing investigation.
Birdseye is from Cincinnati.
