Carol Ann (Fox) Wilson, 83 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025 after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Carol grew up in Guilford and was in the first graduating class of North Dearborn High School in 1960. She raised her family on Leatherwood Road in Yorkville and was grateful to be able to stay home with them. Once the children were in school, Carol began working at East Central High School as a secretary. She had a passion for baking and shared her talent with her family and the community where she could always find a reason to take a cake to someone. Carol also enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and crocheting. She made sure all the grandchildren had blankets that she created with love. She adored her grandbabies and enjoyed every moment she could get with them, which, of course, included a lot of babysitting.
Carol will be deeply missed by her children Theresa (Paul) Horstman, Tammy (David) Cunningham, Doug (Dawn) Hornbach, and Deron Hornbach; grandchildren Jill (Justin Kaercher) Horstman, Tracy (Dan) Hartman, John (Hannah) Horstman, Kevin (Ashley) Cunningham, Kyle Cunningham, Sarah (Blake) Ashcraft, Alex, Luke, Matthew, Emma, & Maggie Hornbach; great grandchildren Dillon, Chloe, & Ella Kaercher, June & Jack Hartman, and Dale Ashcraft; brothers Allen (Linda) Fox and Dan (Carmen) Fox. She is preceded in death by parents Clarence Fox and Esther Lutz.
Services honoring Carol will be held on Monday, March 17 at St. Martin’s Campus of All Saints Parish. Visitation will begin at 9:00am and continue until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. For those unable to attend, Mass will be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/user/aspweeklyhomily. Memorials can be made to All Saints Ladies Sodality and Jack’s Forever 3 Foundation. Memorials will be accepted at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home. Family and friends are encouraged to leave condolences at www.andres-wuestefeldfh.com.
