Carol Marie McLaughlin August 1, 1934 – June 6, 2020

Our dear mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Carol Marie McLaughlin (nee Reynolds, Perkins), age 85, passed away Saturday June 6, 2020, at her home in Harrison, Ohio. Born August 1, 1934, the daughter of James and Caroline (Wohrmeyer) Reynolds in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Carol was married to her beloved Herman “Mack” McLaughlin and to William Lee Perkins Sr. She excelled at her work at JCPenney as a store manager, and at the IRS as an Internal Review Agent, and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Harrison, Ohio.

Carol always put her children and family first, and worked tirelessly to show her love and support for them. She is survived by her children Carol (Kevin) Smith, William (Endee) Perkins Jr., Donna Dornbusch, Robert Perkins, Thomas (Teresa) Perkins, Kenneth Perkins, and Cathleen (Heiner) Berrick. Grandmother of Emily (Charles) Heckle, Hillary Smith, Heather (Beth) Perkins, Amanda Perkins, Kenny Perkins Jr., Gabriel Berrick, Hayley Berrick and Alexandra Berrick. Great grandmother of Connor Perkins, Dylan Perkins and Caleb Heckle. She is also survived by her dog Murphy.

Carol is preceded in death by her husbands Herman “Mack” McLaughlin and William Lee Perkins Sr., her son Timothy Perkins, her twin daughters Christine and Christy, her infant daughter, her son-in-law Gary Dornbusch, her brothers James, Jack, Dan, Tom and Joey Reynolds, sisters Madeline “Son” Reynolds, Betty King, and her dogs Sinbad and Dylan.

Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 Broadway St., Harrison, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church, 10010 Carolina Trace Rd, Harrison, Ohio 45030. Burial will follow at St. Joseph New Cemetery, 4500 Foley Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45238.

When you speak of her, speak not with tears, for thoughts of her should not be sad. Let memories of the times you shared give you comfort, for her life was rich because of you.
