The 5th Grade St. Louis Boys Basketball team played a rematch against Laurel Thursday night. St. Louis went out to an early lead and ended the first quarter ahead 14-4. The Cardinals were able to hold the lead and end the half ahead 22-4. The third quarter ended 28-8 Cardinals and St. Louis was able to bring home a win, with a final score of 35-10. Jaiden Kuria lead the Cards with 14 points, Ben Greiwe had 8, Jack Freeland and Caleb Mohr had 6 points each and Tyler Reder had 1 point. The 6th Grade Cardinals took on the Yellow Jackets on Thursday November, 29th in Laurel and fought through a very physical game to come away with a 36-32 victory! With the Cardinals up by 2 points and 15 seconds left Sam Laloge made a pair of free throws to lock up the victory. St. Louis scored the most points they have all season and placed 7 players in the scoring column led by Ben Miller with 14 points which included a 3 pointer. Henry Wanstrath played another great all-around game with 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 assists. Sam Laloge had 4 points as did Christian Mack. Max Amberger, Zavier Tekulve, and Santiago Schutte all scored 2 points for the Cardinals. Sully Hill and Adam Meer each had 2 rebounds while Mark Meneses had 1 rebound. The St Louis Cardinals 8th Grade Basketball team suffered their first loss of the season tonight as they were defeated by the Franklin County Wildcats on the road by a score of 47-31.
