SUMMARY:Ten Commandments at Lake Santee (weekly Tuesday)
DESCRIPTION:Jane Cochran Newburn\, retired Batesville teacher\, will teach the Ten Commandments so youth will be disciplined unto the Lord. In June and July\, every Tuesday from 10-noon at Lake Santee’s Big Beach youth will learn at least twenty ways to follow each Commandment. After the ten minute lesson\, youth will select from eight activities: tennis\, basketball\, football\, running\, limbo\, frisbees\, whiffle ball and swimming in the lake. For the physically challenged\, there will be card and board games. Each event is led by an athlete. Parents must sign a release form for each youth. Youth must bring a life jacket and a towel. Please bring a water bottle. Be sure your child has sunscreen. There are 30 volunteers to serve the Almighty God. There is no cost.

DESCRIPTION:Community Mental Health Center\, Inc.\, Lawrenceburg\, and the East Indiana Area Health Education Center (EI-AHEC)\, Batesville\, are hosting their second annual Behavioral Health Careers Day on Friday\, June 7\, in Lawrenceburg.\nThis summer program is designed for high school students as well as 2019 graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in the behavioral health field.\nDuring this daylong program\, participants will:\n• Visit and tour service treatment environments\n• Participate in a Question & Answer session with behavioral health professionals\n• Gain exposure to a wide variety of behavioral health career pathways\n• Take part in suicide prevention training\n• Learn about wellness and self-care\n• Experience a variety of hands-on activities\nDeadline to register for the event is Friday\, May 24. Interested students may register at the East Indiana Area Health Education Center’s website at www.eiahec.org.
