Butler to require vaccinations for fall semester

Indianapolis, IN — Butler University will require students, faculty, and staff to get vaccinated for COVID-19 before returning to campus this fall.

Exemptions will be considered based on health, religion, or strong personal reasons. Anyone who does not get vaccinated will need to get tested regularly for the coronavirus throughout the semester. They’ll also have to wear face coverings around others and when they are indoors.

Butler officials are hoping to reach herd immunity on campus by requiring vaccination.
