The Batesville boy’s varsity tennis team was defeated for the first time this season by New Palestine 5-0 on Monday.
#1 Singles- Henry Luchow was defeated by Brent Barrett 4-6, 1-6.
#2 Singles- Nick Kirschner was defeated by Connor Swain 6-4, 4-6, 5-7
#3 Singles- Blake Walsman was defeated by Jacob Purcell 5=7, 1-6
#1 Doubles- Chirs Hoseus and Dustin Nobbe were defeated by David Thompson and Pete Rusche 0-6, 4-6
#2 Doubles- Matt Taylor and Jacob Paul were defeated by Ben Farley and Shayan Khokhar 3-6, 5-7
The JV tied with New Pal 4-4. Winners included Spencer Rose at singles, Paul Ritter and Harsh Patel (2 doubles matches) and the doubles team of Brett Westerfeld and Beau Brown.
Batesville is now 7-1 on the season and will face Franklin County on Tuesday at 4:30.
