The Batesville Boy’s Varsity Tennis team defeated Greenfield-Central 5-0 on Tuesday.
#1 Singles- Beau Brown defeated Zak Lawhorn 6-1, 6-1
#2 Singles- Blake Walsman defeated Thomas Spears 6-2, 6-4
#3 Singles- Ben Schwettman defeatedTommy Graham 7-5, 6-3
#1 Doubles- Matthew Taylor and Spencer Rose defeated Brady Wright and Nate Real 6-1, 6-3
#2 Doubles- Harsh Patel and Paul Ritter defeated Saben Fletcher and Dylan Wilburn 6-3, 7-6(1)
In JV action, Batesville won 6-0.
Jonathan Kunkel, Brandon Laker and Will Harmeyer were all winners in singles. The doubles teams of Jonathan Kunkel/Lane Westerfeld and Mitchell Esser/Sam Esser (2 matches) were also winners.
The Varsity is now 13-4 on the season (7-0 in the EIAC) while the JV is 8-3. The Varsity will compete in the EIAC Individal Tournament on Thursday and Saturday at Greensburg.
