The Batesville JV Bulldogs defeated the Franklin County JV Wildcats 8–4 on Thursday.
William Huber got Batesville on the board with an inside-the-park home run in the top of the first.
Franklin County responded in the bottom half, taking a 2–1 lead after Jordan Eads’ RBI single and a bases-loaded walk to Bodey Kruthaupt.
The Wildcats added two more in the third on a Parker Gillman double, extending their lead to 4–1.
Batesville rallied in the fifth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead for good. Jackson Elston delivered the key hit—a two-run triple.
Isaac Lemmel earned the win in relief, allowing just one hit over three scoreless innings while striking out five. Zane Littlefield took the loss for Franklin County, giving up seven runs (four earned) over 4.1 innings. Michael Linville started for Batesville, giving up four runs over two innings.
Max Meyer and Eli Denni each had two hits for the Bulldogs. Meyer and Elston drove in two runs apiece, while James Hughes stole two bases.
Gillman led Franklin County with two RBIs and went 1-for-3. Eads, Tristan Goodin, and Sam Foster also had hits for the Wildcats.
