The Batesville 7th Graders moved to 4-0 on the year with a 43-27 victory over Connersville.
Both teams fought evenly in the first half, Connersville feeding the ball down low and Batesville getting the ball out in transition. The halftime score was 20-15. The Bulldogs started a full-court press in the 2nd half that sped up the opponent forcing them into many turnovers. Batesville’s solid shooting, including 8 three-pointers on the evening, and great defense eventually propelled them to victory.

The Batesville 8th-Grade Boys’ Basketball defeated the visiting Connersville Spartans by a final score of 50-32.
The Bulldogs got off to a quick start taking a 14-4 lead after the first quarter. The Spartans fought back and gained momentum going into half by trailing just 6 points to the Bulldogs. Batesville came out firing on all cylinders in the third quarter and outscored their opponent 18-6.
Will Jaisle was the hot hand in the third quarter scoring 8 points. The Bulldogs had great rebounding, defense, and unselfish play by Jacob Stenger and Gage Pohlman all night. The great team effort put them in a position to close the game out with a win. Leading in scoring was Cade Kaiser with 19 points, followed by Will Jaisle (9), Carson Laker (7), Grant Goldsmith (5), Keegan Walke (4), Gage Pohlman (4), Alex Krekeler (2), and JJ Holcomb (1).
The Bulldogs are now 4-0 on the season heading into their game versus Greendale on Thursday, December 3rd at BMS.
