Bulldogs Middle School Football Teams Defeat Indians

Football 50 Yard LineThe 7th grade Bulldog football team got their first win at Milan with a 20 – 6 win.

In the first half Jake Cruise ran for a 43 yd TD run to tie the score at 6 – 6. After halftime, Brayden Linkel had TD runs of 48 and 92 yards. Batesville added a 2 point conversion on a pass to Hank Nobbe from Seth Gausman.

Charlie Dice, Cruse and Gausman led the defense, and Nobbe had the game sealing interception.

The Batesville Middle School 8th grade football team defeated Milan 20-0. It was the fourth straight shutout for the Bulldogs.

Again playing well defensively was Adam Bedel, Devin Scripture, Trey Heidlage, Caleb Raab and Alex Love.

The offense was able to both run and pass effectively because of solid play of the offensive line which was anchored by Sam Sittloh and Aiden Hornbach. Scoring for the Bulldogs was Trey Heidlage, Austin Seifert, Luke Belter and outstanding receiver Lane Oesterling.

The Middle School Bulldogs next game is at Greensburg next Tuesday.
