The Batesville Bulldogs travelled to Madison Saturday morning to compete in the Madison Small School Invitational. Both teams swam well and earned a second place finish.
“This was a great meet for us. Madison, Silver Creek and North Harrison are always pushing us to improve. Overall, we swam a few season best times and really put ourselves in a great position.”
“Our goal from the start of the season was to improve from where we were last year and we definitely did that today.”
Batesville finished 4th (men’s) and 3rd (women’s) in 2017-18 and were able to accumulate enough points to finish in second place behind North Harrison (women) and Madison (men).
Event winners for Batesville High School included Kate Poltrack (500); – Sean Callahan (500); – 200 Free Relay (Maria Lopez, Sonja Gaulin, Gwen Martin, Poltrack); – Maria Lopez (100 Breast).
