Bulldogs Cross Country Team Travels to Greensburg Invitational

The Batesville Bulldog cross-country team traveled to Greensburg to participate in the 26 school invitational hosted by the Greensburg Pirates.  The Lady Dogs stepped to the line first and were led by eighth grader, Ava Wade.  Ava led the dogs, and the rest of the field, with a first-place overall finish, setting a new meet record in an impressive time of 11:29.  Ava was followed closely by Elia Wade who placed 5th and also earned a medal.  Additional ribbon winners on the varsity team were Ana Shane in 21st, Bailey Feldmann in 22nd, Sydney Britton in 24th, Audrey Dieckmann 28th, and Emmalynn Allgeier in 29th place.  Despite their best efforts, the girls placed 3rd as a team with 73 team points, just getting edged out of first place by Greensburg with 69 points and New Palestine with 70 points.  In JV action, congratulations to Aubrey Weberding for winning in a time of 13:59!

The varsity boys were next to run.  They were led by 7th grader Cael Luhman who finished 17th overall in a time of 12:27.  Timothy Quillin was the next bulldog to finish, earning a ribbon for 27th place.  Wyatt Essick was next in 45th place, followed by Coleman West in 62nd, Miles Lawrence in 72nd, Luke Raver in 87th, and Lucas Gadberry in 91st place.
