Bulldogs Claim SEI Tournament Title

It was a standing-room-only crowd at Batesville Middle School on Thursday night as the BMS 7th-grade basketball team secured the SEI Tournament championship with a commanding 43-23 victory over the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles.

The energy was electric, fueled by a rowdy and enthusiastic student section that set the tone for the night. The Bulldogs came out strong, with Jasper Johnson’s clutch three-pointer late in the first quarter igniting a spark that carried the team forward.

Logan Schneider led the scoring effort with an impressive 16 points, while Clayton Kaiser and Nolan Gesell each added 8 points. Jasper Johnson contributed 5 points, Henry Candelot chipped in 3 points, Noah Bastin scored 2, and Jarod Zins rounded out the scoring with 1 point.

The Bulldogs wrapped up their season with an impressive 19-3 record, taking home both the South Ripley Tournament and SEI Tournament titles.
