Bulldogs Blow Out Indians On The Diamond

Batesville had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Milan 17-1

In the first inning, the Bulldogs got their offense started when Max Baumer singled, scoring one run. The Bulldogs scored three runs in the first inning.

Batesville notched four runs in the second inning, three in the fourth, and six runs in the fifth inning. The Bulldogs’ offense in the fifth inning came from a solo home run by Sam Voegele and a grand slam by Jacob Meer. William Meer also singled in the inning, scoring one run. 

Luke Wilson pitched the Bulldogs to victory. The righty came in for relief and lasted two innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out one.

Baumer started the game for the Bulldogs. The right-hander went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out two, and walking one.

Jack Grunkemeyer went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Bulldogs in hits.

The win takes the Bulldogs to 11-4 overall and they maintain their 5-2 record in the EIAC. Batesville has won five straight and looks to continue on the winning side as they take on Greensburg on Thursday.
