Bulldogs Blanked By Tigers

Thursday evening, the Batesville Bulldogs played against the Lawrenceburg Tigers for a home match losing 3-0.

For most of the first half Batesville displayed solid defense against Lawrenceburg’s quick attacking play. They did a good job possessing the ball and working it into our half. 9:11 left on the clock a handball outside of the 18 yard line resulted in a free kick. The ball was sent floating up and dropped by our keeper where a runner met the ball as it came to the ground. 6:07. The attack was dribbled down the middle and passed wide right to an unmarked Tiger. The ball was shot wide right, bouncing off of the post and into our net.

Second half the Bulldogs struggled to make it back into the game with several close attempts in our counter attacks, but never bested the keeper. 26:50 The Tiger offense broke through our defense and with pressure on the man the ball was sent looping over the keeper for the final goal of the game. Batesville lost 3 to 0.
