Bulldogs Baseball Team Falls Short To Lions

BaseballThe Bulldogs get more hits, but not more runs in 3-2 loss to Rushville.

The Bulldogs lost 3-2 in seven innings on Friday, despite outhitting Rushville five to four.

Wyatt Schebler was hot from the plate for the Bulldogs. Schebler went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Brad Busalad got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out 10, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Connor Schuck ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed three runs.

The top of the third saw the Bulldogs take an early lead, 1-0.

The game’s last lead went to Rushville thanks to a fourth inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on a two-run single by Micheal St. John.
