Bulldog volleyball pulls out tough 5-setter against Bears

Batesville battled for five varsity volleyball games with Shelbyville Saturday.  The Bulldogs won the first two sets 25-17 and 27-25.  The Golden Bears returned fire and won 25-18 and 28-26.  Then BHS won the fifth and deciding game 15-13 according to Batesville assistant coach Vickie Heil.

Coach Heil also said the Bulldog JV went a full match against Shelbyville.  The Bears came ready to play and won the first game 25-14. But not to be outdone, the Bulldogs fought back and won game two, 25-18, then hung tough in the tiebreaker and won 15-13. Isabelle Wonnell led the Bulldog reserves with 4 kills and 4 aces. Annie Negovetich had 6 setting assists.
