Starting Thursday (2/23), the Indiana Department of Transportation will shift traffic to the west side of US Highway 52/Main Street in Brookville between its intersection with State Road 101/State Road 1 and First Street.
This first phase will facilitate operations on the east side for sidewalk and curb ramp construction, as well as the installation of street lights.
North and southbound traffic will be moved to 11-foot lanes, eliminating the parking lane on the west side of the street.
Parking will still be allowed on the east side, except where construction operations are taking place. The project is estimated to cost $2.8 million and is estimated to be completed by October 13.
