Bright, In. — At least five members of the Bright Christian Church are spending the week in the Houston area to assist with Harvey relief efforts. The group that includes two native Texans is taking supplies to those suffering in the grip of Harvey.
Executive minister Rob Sweeney says the effort was completely organized and financed by using the Facebook page run by the church. Sweeney says when the social media message was released supplies, donations and prayers began to pour in.
The group left for Houston Monday and was expected to arrive during the day on Tuesday. They plan to stay until at least Sunday. You can follow the progress of the group online at facebook.com/BrightChristianChurch/.
