Braun-led challenge to vaccine mandate passes Senate with bipartisan support

Senator Mike Braun (R-Indiana)

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Mike Braun (R-Indiana) is claiming victory in his fight against President Biden’s coronavirus vaccine mandates for private businesses.

Every Senate Republican plus two Democrats, Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Montana’s Jon Tester, voted Wednesday night to roll back the President’s vaccine mandates.

Braun says his biggest issue is passing the rollback.

Congressman Fred Keller (R-Pennsylvania) introduced the same resolution in the House of Representatives, which has been cosponsored by every House Republican.

While he was successful in the Senate, Braun’s rollback plan is expected to be defeated in the Democrat-controlled House.
