(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Police Department is warning residents about scam phone calls.
Officers recently received a report that someone is spoofing calls from the department.
A resident said Caller ID indicated a call was coming from Batesville PD about an outstanding warrant.
Police say if you receive a similar call and are questioning it, you’re asked to contact your local law enforcement agency to determine whether or not it’s legitimate.
