Boys HS Basketball recaps from January 15-16

The following are boys high school basketball recaps from January 15-16 reported to WRBI.

For a second time this season, North Decatur’s boys defeated South Decatur, this time at ND, 72-58.

The Chargers got 25 points from Kaden Muckerheide.  Three of his teammates also finished in double figures: Blake Spears 15, Lance Nobbe 13 and Conner Linkmeyer 11.

Hunter Johnson poured in 34 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Cougars while Jacob Scruggs added nine points and four assists.

North also won the JV game over South, 65-53.

Jack Koehne canned six, 3-point baskets on his way to 24 points.  Brady Mauer followed with 23 and had six huge free throws.

In a boys freshman game, Batesville beat Rushville 33-30 led by Gage Pohlman’s 13 points and nine from Carson Laker.

The North Decatur boys varsity fell to Lawrenceburg 49-39.

The Tigers’ Jackson Bobo booked 16 points, six rebounds and six assists.  Dahya Patel followed with nine points five boards and three dishes.

Kaden Muckerheide had eight points for ND with teammates Carson Parmer and Lance Nobbe notching seven each.

The JV game also went to the Tigers 49-36.

For the Charger reserves, Brady Mauer posted 15 points. Aiden O’Dell scored seven.
