Batesville, IN—Senator Jean Leising awarded Dennis Bourquein with the state Circles of Corydon award recently at the Indiana Retired Teachers’ Representative Assembly in Indianapolis.
Bourquein taught music for 33 years, six in the Batesville School Corporation and 27 in the Sunman-Dearborn Community School Corporation. He served in various leadership roles with the Retired Teachers Association at both local and state levels.
The Circle of Corydon Award is for Hoosiers who have made remarkable contributions to the betterment of Indiana and its people, demonstrating through life and service qualities exemplified by the state’s greatest citizens.
