Boilermaker And Former Twister Standout Curt Eckstein Earns All-American Honors In Cross Country

Purdue Boilermaker and former Oldenburg Academy standout Curt Eckstein has earned All-American Cross Country honors at The NCAA Championships at Terre Haute.

Curt placed 24th while The Boilermakers finished 11th as a team. Eckstein won The IHSAA Boys Cross Country and Track 3200 State Crowns while at Oldenburg.

The Boilermakers entered the event ranked No. 10 in the USTFCCA polls after winning last weekend’s Great Lakes Regional title. The 11th place finish is the program’s best since 1950. The program’s Great Lakes Regional title was the first in program history and Norbert Elliott was named the Great Lakes Region Men’s Coach of the Year.
