Batesville Middle School competed at the Brown County Eagle Classic cross country invitational on Saturday.
The girls varsity team secured a fifth place finish out of 26 scoring teams.
The Bulldogs were led by a pair of top-25 finishes: Molly Walter crossed the line in 19th place overall and Emmalynn Allgeier was not far behind her in 24th place.
Rounding out the varsity team with strong races in a field of 200 runners were Anna Ollier (35th), Eisley Peters (52nd), Addi Fogle (53rd), Maddie Balash (78th), and Emma Robben (121st).
The BMS boys Varsity team earned a 14th-place finish in a highly competitive field of 31 teams.
Cristian Peralta paced the Bulldogs with an outstanding performance, finishing 36th overall and a personal best time of 11:31.
He was supported by great varsity runs from Grant Luhman, Gavin Linville, Anze Vicente, Salvador Schutte, Benton Skinner, and Asher Black.
The JV girls were led by Kinley Lanham while the boys were paced by Eric Jensen, both of whom recorded personal best runs on the day.
