Batesville Middle School volleyball went on the road and split with Jennings County on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs won the 7th grade contest in two sets, 25-21, 25-21.
Coach Angie Ehrman says her squad had some ups and downs, but earned the win against the Panthers.
“Maddie Dole, Chesney Placke, Kalli Craig, and Chesney Placke continue to get digs in the back row. Ava Gunter and Aubrey Kruthaupt keep working hard at the setters position. In the front row Eve Flannery and Lila Wade each had 3 kills. Lucy Bailie added 2 kills, while Vivian Duty and Aubrey Kruthaupt each had a kill,” said coach Ehrman. “From the service line Emily Volz had 7 points Aubrey Kruthaupt had 6 points. Eve Flannery and Kalle Craig each had 5 points. And Lila Wade earned 4 points.”
The 7th graders are now 12-1.
Jennings County claimed the 8th grade match in three sets, 25-22 (JC), 25-15 (B), 15-10 (JC).
“Lauren Ollier was the leading server with 15 points including 6 aces. Cali Oesterling added 10 points, while setters, Tori Meyer and Sydney Holtkamp, chipped in 3 points apiece. Emma Campbell went 13 for 16 spiking earning 5 kills. Lauren Ollier contributed 4 kills in 21 attempts. Lillian Hixson earned 3 kills, while Zoe Bolser, Hannah Bruns, and Aubree Roell each notched 2 kills at the net. Tessa Rowlett, Bailee Adams, and Lily Reding had consistent serve reception to help set up the attack,” said 8th grade coach Shelly Prickel, whose team drops to 10-3.
