Batesville Middle School cross country hosted and won both the boys and girls meets with North and South Decatur on Tuesday.
It was the Bulldog girls 21; the Chargers 44, and the Cougars 66.
Batesville’s Emmalynn Allgeier was the girls meet champion.
Molly Water was right behind her in second place followed by Anna Ollier in fourth place, Eisley Peters in sixth, Addi Fogle eighth, Emma Robben 10th, and Ava McMullen in 13th to round out the BMS varsity team.
The Batesville boys were first with 19; and South Decatur had 44. North Decatur did not field a complete team.
Cristian Peralta from Batesville was the boys meet champ.
Peralta battled the Cougars’ Eli Allen for most of the race, but pulled away in the last 800 meters for the win.
Grant Luhman was the next Bulldog to cross the finish line in fifth place followed by a pack of runners that included Salvador Schutte in sixth place, Asher Black seventh, and Anze Vicente in eighth, with Benton Skinner and Gavin Linville finishing in ninth and 10th place, respectively.
