(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Memorial Public Library has selected krM Architecture of Indianapolis to design the Arts and Innovation Hub.

The company has a local tie: Katie Grajewski is a Batesville native and Oldenburg Academy graduate who is on the design team for the library project.

“I am proud to say that I am from Batesville. It was a great place to grow up. Many of my family members and friends are still in the area, and I enjoy running into people I know when I visit,” Grajewski said.

After graduation from OA, she completed a Bachelor or Arts at Ball State University and Graduate School at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Library design projects are not new for Grajewski.

“I’ve worked on the Glendale Library for the Broad Ripple neighborhood in Indianapolis, the new Westfield Library, several interior update projects with Avon Library, and the upcoming renovation of the Children & Teen area at the Central Library in Indianapolis,” she said.

Groundbreaking for the Arts and Innovation Hub will take place later this year.
