(Statehouse) – State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington) has filed a bill to relocate a casino from Southeastern Indiana to Allen County.
Zay introduced Senate Bill 293 last week. The measure proposes moving Rising Star Casino from Rising Sun.
The idea was originally floated over the summer.
Full House Resorts, which operates Rising Star, released plans in November for the new casino, which would be located in New Haven.
Rising Star Casino opened in 1996 as Grand Victoria Casino but revenue has steadily declined since casinos opened in the Cincinnati area.
