(Batesville, IN) – The City of Batesville continues its revitalization efforts by offering matching funds for storefront renovations through the Batesville Improvement Grant (BIG) program.
This grant program can significantly reduce the financial burden of exterior renovations for small businesses, providing up to $5,000 in matching funds.
The BIG program is open to tenants and property owners for permanent exterior façade projects. To be eligible, tenants must have at least two years remaining on their lease or an option to renew. Renovation plans must be approved by the Batesville Economic Development Commission (BEDC) and comply with local ordinances.
Eligible projects include:
- Awnings
- Windows
- Painting
- Structural or design changes
- Exterior finishes
- Door repairs
The Bookshelf, Dunlap Supply, and Hillcrest Golf and Country Club have all been past award winners. With their grants, they were able to replace windows, awnings, and general exterior fixtures.
