Big crowd shows up for Reds Caravan stop in Batesville

Batesville, IN — Around 300 people showed up at the Southeastern Indiana YMCA in Batesville Tuesday night for the Reds Caravan.

The event came back after a two-year hiatus and featured Reds Manager David Bell, infielder Jose Barrero, outfielder Austin Hendricks, radio and TV analyst Jeff Brantley, and Minor League Catching Coordinator Corky Miller.

The program was emceed by Brian Giesenschlag from Bally Sports Ohio and featured Q and A and autograph sessions.

Also making an appearance was mascot Rosie Red.

The Reds open Spring Training in Goodyear, Arizona on February 25 at 3:05 pm against Cleveland.

Opening Day is Thursday, March 30 vs. Pittsburgh at 4:10 pm at Great American Ball Park.
