BHS Shuts Out Rushville

Batesville went on the road and shut out Rushville 9-0 in varsity baseball Thursday evening.

Noah Weigel went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored to lead the Bulldogs, who banged out 11 hits.

Rylan Yeager and Ronan Post added 2 hits a piece.

BHS put the game away with seven runs in the top of the 6th inning.

Southpaw Carson Meyer tossed six shutout innings for the win. He gave up four hits while striking out six and walking one.

With the win, Batesville improves to 13-9 and will travel to Bloomington North on Saturday.
