Beverly Joan Graf, age 73, of New Alsace, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, with her family by her side. Born August 19, 1951, in Milan, Indiana, she is the daughter of Samuel and Dorothy (Nee: Landrum) Miller. Bev married John J. Graf on July 28, 1973, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in New Alsace, Indiana and he preceded her in death on September 20, 2008. Bev was a member of the Tanner Valley United Methodist Church in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Bev was a devout Christian woman. She lived her faith by serving others through various church ministries, visiting the homebound, and being a compassionate presence in the community.
She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for her family. Family favorites included her O’Henry bars, homemade macaroni and cheese, scalloped potatoes and chocolate chip peanut butter bars. A jar of treats could always be found on the kitchen counter for her grandkids.
Bev took pleasure in many hobbies. She had a green thumb and enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a talented seamstress who cherished making special occasion clothing for her children and gifts for her grandchildren.
She loved working and spending time with children. After retiring from teaching and tutoring she spent many years babysitting her grandchildren. The grandkids fondly remember “Grandma School” and her support at all of their activities.
She was most happy living a simple life at the family farm and being with her loved ones. Her grandchildren always brought her joy, which was evident by the smile on her face.
Bev is survived by her daughters Angela (Charles) Weigel of Batesville and Amy (Mark) Eisele of New Alsace; son Douglas (Gina) Graf of New Alsace; grandchildren Samuel, Noah, and Abigail Weigel, John Eisele, Elijah, Finley, and Christian Graf; brother Kenneth (Carrie) Miller of Miami, Florida.
